Support for offline media elements is available.

A media element consists of two related resources: the Media Link Entry (MLE) containing the structured data that describes the BLOB and the Media Resource (MR) that is the BLOB itself. An MLE is special entity and can be read using datajs while the MR is a stream that is represented by a URL.

    Offline Media Stream Setup
    There are two ways to offline a media stream. If you do not offline the stream, the media entity will return online links for the media_src and edit_media metadata properties.
    Using Offline Media Streams
    Unlike other OData requests, you do not make media stream request through the datajs library. Calls against the media stream can be done directly with AJAX or set in the src of image elements (if the media is an image).
