Testing an Application Connection to SAP GatewayLocate this document in the navigation structure

Test that the application you created can connect to the SAP Gateway system.

Prerequisites

Install Postman in Chrome.

Procedure

  1. In a Chrome Web browser, navigate to chrome://apps, and launch the Postman app.
  2. Select POST as the method, and enter https://<host>:8082/odata/applications/latest/mySSO/Connections, where <host> is the name of the machine on which SAP Mobile Platform Server is running.
  3. Click Headers, select Content-Type, and enter application/xml as the value.
  4. Select Body, click raw, and enter the following XML:

    Note

    Set the value of DeviceType to your device type, for example, Android, iPhone, or iPad.

  5. Click Send.
  6. When the system prompts you, select the ssodemo certificate.
  7. Copy the value of ApplicationConnectionId.
  8. In Postman, enter:
    • The URL of your application, https://<SMP host>:8082/mySSO/
    • The value of ApplicationConnectionId
  9. Click Send. This retrieves data from the back end.
