Debug the JavaScript code running in a desktop browser.

This procedure shows how to debug using Chrome. See published on non-SAP site. In some cases, debugging on the device is necessary, for example, when you debug touch, or code that includes JavaScript files from Apache Cordova or the Hybrid SDK (Kapsel), since these expect to run on a mobile device or simulator.

  1. In the Chrome menu, choose Start of the navigation path Tools Next navigation step Developer Tools End of the navigation path.
  2. Click Sources to open a source file.
  3. Set break points to step through the code.
  4. Use the Network tab to examine the OData URL sent and the values received.
