The Logger plugin allows you to log information to trace bugs or other issues in your
application for analysis. The plugin is supported for use with applications on the Android,
iOS, and Windows 8.1 platforms.
Update the client log and trace settings for the selected application registration. These
settings override the client log policy settings that are configured as part of the
application definition. Log and trace settings are updated on the client during its next
settings exchange with the server, and if log upload is enabled, the client uploads the
log to the server. The downloaded client log is a combined client/server log, so
formatting will be different than in the original log. For applications developed using SAP Mobile Platform SDK
3.0 SP05 or later, client log entries are stored in the database in the appropriate
logging component and can be viewed in the Logs & Traces view. For applications
developed using SAP Mobile Platform SDK 3.0 SP04 or earlier, you can download
and view a client log file. Trace information is generated as part of an end to end
trace session. .
