As an organization grows, SAP Mobile Platform administrators need to create a scalable IT infrastructure using clusters. Clustering creates redundant SAP Mobile Platform components on your network to provide a highly scalable and available system architecture.

Organizations can seamlessly achieve high availability and scalability by adding more or redundant instances of core components. Redundant instances of critical components provide transparent failover.

In a production environment, the SAP Mobile Platform deployment typically uses at least one relay server. The connections to relay servers can be configured within a cluster instance from SAP Control Center.
