As an IT service manager you approve a service outage that the responsible administrator for the system has created or changed. You do this regularly, for example weekly or at the end of a reporting period.
You can revoke confirmed service outages and reprocess them.
You have authorization to approve a service outage created or maintained by the system administrator.
Choose the Outage Maintenance
tab page.
Select a managed system.
On the Outage Overview
view, in the outage list, select the checkbox of an outage which has the status To Be Reviewed
Choose Approve Outage
.
To display the details of the outage, click the line of the outage in the outage list.
This opens the Details of Outage
view.
You have the following options:
To approve the service outage, set the status to Confirmed
.
To send the service outage back to the administrator or to reprocess a confirmed outage, proceed as follows:
Set the status to In Process
or To Be Reviewed
.
In the Reason
field, enter the reason why the administrator should edit the service outage.
Choose Save
.
