Procedure documentationCreating Automated Test Cases

An automated test case is a test configuration which comprises a test script, a system data container, and a test data container. To create an automated test case, you create a test configuration. A related test script is created at the same time, it must not be created separately. The test script can be edited in the next step.

The system data container is automatically derived from the solution for which the test configuration has been created.

Define a complete SAP Solution Manager context and assign it to your test configuration or test script.

When you edit a test script, you can see which logical component group is assigned to the test case and which SAP Solution Manager context (solution, branch, and system role) is assigned to it.

If a site has been activated for a solution and branch, this also relevant for the context. The site is only used in automated test, for example, when the test is executed from the solution documentation, but not integrated in the test plan management. For more information, see Sites.
