Function documentationLandscape Overview Tab

On the Landscape Overview tab, you can display information on the managed systems contained in the logical component groups that are connected to Change Request Management and/or QGM via the solution landscape (transaction SLAN) or the change control landscape assignment. Each managed system in the logical component groups is listed together with its communication systems.

Features

The following functions are available:

  • Lifecycle status display: Status set in the landscape management database (transaction LMDB). You can navigate directly to LMDB.

  • Activate the cross-system object lock for the managed ABAP system. You can switch the check on or off centrally here. All the changes performed will be displayed in the application log.

  • Set the CTS project (SAP_CTS_PROJECT) assignment as mandatory for the managed ABAP system. You can directly navigate to the managed system.

For each system in which you want to create transport requests, you have to set the project assignment of transport requests as mandatory. Note that if you do so, you cannot release transport requests without CTS projects. If you set up CTS projects during a transition period, you may have to create dummy CTS projects so that developments made prior to the availability of Change Request Management can still be transported.

Check the entries in the CTS Project Assignment column, and change them, if required.

Note: If your Solution Manager system is not available, you can make these settings in transaction SE03 of the managed development system.

  • Display the number of critical objects defined for the managed system. You can navigate directly to the Critical Objects tab.

  • You can log on to an ABAP system if a trusted RFC destination has been configured. You can log on to the SAP NetWeaver Java starting page if host and port data is provided for the Java system in transaction LMDB.

  • Display the defined RFC connections. You can directly navigate to LMDB to configure the connections.

  • To prevent unnecessary RFC calls, by default, no system settings, client settings, or RFC checks are performed. If you want to perform a check, choose Perform Check. The system displays the check result.

  • Delete buffered transport data: If you want to copy a managed system but the transport history of the central Solution Manager system already contains transport data (for example, transport statuses and objects), you can use this function to delete the transport data information contained in the Solution Manager system.
