You use this functionality to view the SAP templates and the user templates that are related to each managed object type (MOT).

Features

When you select any managed object type (MOT) node, the following tab pages are available:

  • Template Assignment: You can view the managed object (MO) and the templates assigned to them. By default, only the MOs to which the templates are assigned are shown in the table.

    You can also view the status of the template assignment. The various statuses are indicated as follows:

    • Yellow: Outdated version of the template is applied to the MO.

    • Green: Latest template is applied to the MO, and no changes are made to the template after the template is assigned to the MO.

    You can also use the filter option to display the data based on the status.

  • Default Assignment: You can view the Default Template table. The details displayed in the table are as follows:

    • Product: Displays all the products relevant to the selected managed object type.

    • Default Template custom-defined: Customer is allowed to configure the default assignments of templates to a product/product group when the user is in edit mode.

      All the relevant SAP templates and user templates for the corresponding product or product group are available in the dropdown list. You can select any of these templates as the default assignment.

    • Default template: SAP-defined: The default SAP template for the corresponding product is displayed in this column.

  • Rating Rule: You can view a table displaying the following details:

    • Category: Categories like Availability, Performance, Exception and Configuration are listed here.

    • Rule for Final Rating: In this column, you specify how the final rating can be determined for relevant category. Average, Best, and Worst are the three rating options that are available.

      If you choose Restore Settings, SAP settings are restored on this tab page.

  • Propagation Rule: You can view a table displaying the following data:

    • Category: Categories like Availability, Exceptions, Configuration and Performance for the managed object type you have selected. Note that the relevant categories are displayed for different managed object types.

    • Receive Propagated Rating: If you want to get the status for the relevant category, you can select the checkbox accordingly.

    • Raise Alert based on Received Rating: If you want to raise an alert based on the received rating, you can select the checkbox for this category. If the user has selected the checkbox for this category under the Receive Propagated Rating column, then the checkbox for this category under this column is editable.

    • Alert Severity: You can specify the alert severity here. You can edit it, if you have selected the checkbox Raise Alert based on Received Rating

    • Receive Propagated Rating: If you want to get the status for this category, select the checkbox accordingly.

    • Rule for combining Received Ratings: In this column, you can specify the rule for combining received ratings.
