The app gives an overview of what you have already achieved by implementing data reduction measures. It displays the system data and the archiving history. You can extrapolate what the system size would have been without the data deletion and archiving measures that you have already taken.

The size of the selected systems for the selected time period until the end of the last month is displayed, comprising the following information displayed:

  • Size without archiving, that is, the total of archived and deleted data plus the size of the online databases

  • Growth of the online databases

  • Growth of the archiving systems, that is, growth of the archived and deleted data

To display the data, do the following:

  • To display the total amount of the archived data, select Cumulated.

  • To display the amount of archived data per month, select Cumulated.

  • Archived Total shows the amount of archived data for the entire available time.

  • Archived Last Month shows the amount of archived data for the last month.

  • To display more detailed information, choose Statistics. For more information, see Archiving Statistics App.

Integration

To display the app, add it to your personal dashboard, in two steps

Add personal dashboard to your SAP Easy Access Favorites
  1. In the SAP Easy Access menu, call Start of the navigation path Favorites Next navigation step Add Other Objects End of the navigation path.

  2. From the list in the Restrictions screen, choose Web-Dynpro Applications.

  3. On the Web Dynpro Application screen, in the Web Dynpro Application field, enter the name generic_dashboard_viewer.

  4. Enter a description, for example My Dashboard.

  5. Insert a row in the table Parameters, in the Name column, enter ALIAS, and enter PERSONAL_DASHBOARD in the Value column.

Put the app in your personal dashboard
  1. Call your personal dashboard in the SAP Easy Access menu (see above).

  2. To put the app in the dashboard, go to configuration mode by choosing Configure.

  3. Choose Add New App, in the Operations category, choose the app DVM Target Fulfillment, and choose OK.

  4. The configuration mode of the app, in which you can make the following settings, is called (see Configuring Dashboards):

    1. Enter the systems that you want to monitor with the app.

    2. Enter the time period you want to display.

    3. Choose Confirm Selection and choose Apply.

  5. Your changes are only permanently saved when you choose Save Dashboard.
