Preparation: Creating Technical Bills of Material (TBOMs)
To be able to use the business process change analyze (BPCA), make certain preparations in your system: BPCA analyzes the business processes which are affected by changes according to TBOMs. Record these TBOMS and make filter and criticality settings.
The following preparation is required:
Assign executables to the solution documentation.
Create a list of objects (technical bill of materials, TBOM) for every executable entity.
Define test cases for the solution documentation.

Prerequisites
You created a solution documentation containing business scenarios, business processes, and process steps.
The system landscape of the solution is configured.
You have at least
ST-PI 2008_1 SP14
orST-PI 740 SP04
in the managed system in which your processes run.You are authorized to change TBOMs. For more information, see the SAP Solution Manager security guide under

Process
In your solution documentation, assign executable entities and test cases to the relevant nodes of your business processes.
For more information, see Solution Documentation.
Create TBOMs for all executable entities.
Alternatively, delegate TBOM recording to the business process expert responsible, who creates the TBOMs.
Optional: Configure the TBOM criticality, to be able to restrict change analyses to the most important objects and to restrict the test effort accordingly.
According to you development cycles, identify executable entities whose TBOMs are missing or obsolete, and create or update them.
Result
Your solution documentation contains test cases and executable entities with current TBOMs.
You can now run the business process change analyzer, and generate the test plans required, from the results.
