Procedure

Mapping of CCLM Attributes to InfoCube

The SAP Business Information Warehouse (BW) system of SAP Solution Manager provides a new InfoCube. It gives you the opportunity to run periodical reports on CCLM objects from the library. The InfoCube retrieves the CCLM data using the CCLM extractor on a specified point in time and saves them. Apart from the default CCLM object attributes, you can map free fields of the InfoCube with your additionally defined CCLM object attributes for BW reporting.

Proceed as follows:

  1. In the BW Reporting screen area click Attributes Mapping to CCLM InfoCube. The system opens a new window to add new attributes or map attributes to the CCLM InfoCube.

  2. Click Edit.

    • In the Object Attributes screen area, you can select the desired custom object attribute from the input help next to the numbered free fields representing the InfoObjects. The system provides 20 free fields for mapping.

    • In the System Attributes screen area you can map system attributes defined in the object library to the corresponding InfoObject of the InfoCube.

    Note Note

Data is not filled retrospectively; it is always used for the next reporting run.

    End of the note.
  3. Click Save.

Note Note

InfoCubes are filled continuously.

End of the note.
Loading Data from BW

You start the analysis as follows:

  1. Click Load Data From BW to define the report and start the analysis.

The system opens a new window to select the variables for BW reporting.

  2. Select the System ID.

  3. Select the Custom Object Type Variables. You can also select multiple types by using the input help.

  4. Select the Creation From and Creation To Months.

  5. Click Execute.

The system opens a new window showing all objects created according to your selection.

    • Navigation Block

The table displays all available fields of the report including the mapped fields. You distinguish between fields that are selected for the report and fields that are not included.

You can change the report by using the options provided in the columns beside:

      • Drilldown in the rows

To display the available fields as a row in the CCLM BW Reporting table, choose Drilldown in the Rows.

To remove the option Object Creation Month, choose Remove Drilldown. The report is changed instantly.

      • Drilldown in the columns

To display the available fields as a column in the CCLM BW Reporting table, choose Drilldown in the columns.

      • Select Filter Value

To specify your results, choose Select Filter Value.

For example, if you want to narrow down or add more of the object types, use this filter option and select or deselect the desired object types. Then choose Transfer to confirm the selection.

If you want to exclude objects which have a deletion flag, you can use the filter and select the # checkbox. To undo your selection, choose the trash can.

    • CCLM BW Reporting

The table displays all objects created with Object Creation Month, System ID, Object Type and the total number of objects per object type.

Note Note

The BW reporting result is a historical view on custom code data because data is retrieved periodically, for example, weekly. So if you have selected several months, the multiple entries exist.

To get the result exactly to the day, you can use the Snapshot Day field in the Navigation Block table. Choose the filter, select a snapshot list from the list and choose Transfer. The snapshot day uses the data from the last report run and updates the CCLM BW Reporting table.

End of the note.
