Store templates are used by SAP Solution Manager applications and services that consume software component configuration data, for example, change reporting.
You can check the current store template versions. If necessary, you can make custom entries or upload templates from SAP.
Start the Launchpad, and in the group SAP Solution Manager Administration
, choose the tile Templates - Root Cause Analysis
.

The tile Templates - Root Cause Analysis
is not in the home page by default; to add it, proceed as follows:
Choose the button Personalize Home Page
.
Add a new tile in the group SAP Solution Manager Administration
by choosing the "+" button. The Tile Catalog
is displayed.
Navigate to the group SAP Solution Manager Administration
, and for the tile Templates - Root Cause Analysis
, choose the button Add tile to group
.
Leave the tile catalog by choosing the button Back
, and choose the button Exit Action Mode
.
Choose the Stores
tab page.
You view templates to check the software component version. The following view options are provided:
Table view
XML view
Tree view
In each view, you can display all components or only custom entries.
You may need to export a template in order to make a custom entry, or because SAP support does not have remote access and has asked you to export the template for troubleshooting purposes.
You can export templates for individual components or all templates at once.
To export the templates for all software components, choose Export Complete XML
, and then save the file on your computer.
To export the templates for a single component, select the component in the table view, XML view, or tree view. Choose Export Component XML
, and then save the file on your computer.
The basic procedure for editing a template is as follows:
Select the relevant software component.
Export the component XML.
Edit the XML using an external editor. You can use the dynamic parameter controls to generate XML strings to copy and paste into the file.
Upload your custom entries.
Note
If the custom upload fails due to XML errors, you can choose Export Schema
to see how the XML validation is done, and then correct the errors.
If necessary, you can delete all custom entries or custom entries for selected components.
To delete all custom entries, in the tree view, choose Delete Custom for all Components
.
To delete a single a custom entry, proceed as follows:
In the tree view, choose Show Custom Only
.
Select the component, and then choose Delete Custom for Component
.
