Procedure documentationMarking an Obsolete TBOM As Updated

Recalibrate if the changes to the managed system do not affect the TBOM in question and you want to set the overall status of the unchanged TBOM to Updated.

When you recalibrate a TBOM, the date of the last obsolescence check is set to the current date, so the TBOM can only become obsolete as a result of changes made after this date.

Example Example

You have generated a TBOM for a custom program. You update objects for this custom development, without changing the program flow (by adding a comment, for example).

The TBOM is assigned the status Obsolete during an obsolescence check but you know that it is still up to date. Recalibrate the TBOM to mark it as up to date.

End of the example.

Note Note

You can also use this function to mark TBOMs that are actually obsolete as Updated. Before recalibrating, check whether the changes to the managed system are irrelevant to the TBOM.

End of the note.

Prerequisites

You have identified an obsolete dynamic TBOM.

For more information, see Identifying Obsolete TBOMs In the Solution Documentation.

Procedure

  1. In the Test Suite - Test Preparation application, select a solution and branch .

  2. Choose TBOMs and Test Cases.

  3. Click the TBOM name to open the dialog for TBOMs.

  4. In the Header Data screen area, under Overall Status, choose the TBOM Recalibration icon.

Result

The TBOM overall status is now Updated again. The content of the TBOM remains unchanged.
