Procedure documentationCreating Business Requirements

 

As a business process expert, you have identified the need for a new business requirement in your department such as a new piece of software.

Prerequisites

  • You have the business role REQUESTER (also see Authorizations).

  • Optional: If you want to create business requirements from a template, you have created the necessary template.

Procedure

  1. Open the Requirements Management view and choose the link to create a business requirement.

  2. Select the transaction type for business requirements.

  3. Complete the mandatory fields or choose the relevant option:

    • Description

      Enter a descriptive name for your business requirement.

    • Business Process Expert

      Enter your business partner ID or the partner ID of another business process expert.

    • Priority

      Select the urgency with which your business requirement should be implemented.

  4. In the Text assignment block, describe the change that you want to be implemented.

  5. In the Attachments assignment block, enter any documents or links to support your business requirement.

  6. In the Solution Documentation assignment block, enter any elements to support your business requirement.

  7. Choose Start of the navigation path Actions Next navigation step Submit for Validation End of the navigation path and save.

    The business requirement is set to Submitted for Validation.
