Function documentationImpact and References

The Impact and References function helps you to determine the links between technical objects, such as tables and archiving objects, and business-related information, such as business processes, business process steps, transactions, and reports. You use impact analyses to decide whether a technical object is suitable for archiving or deletion, as well as to determine who you need to contact to discuss potential data volume reduction processes.

The Analysis List displays all previously conducted analyses.

Prerequisites

Your business processes are documented accurately in the Solution Documentation. For more information, see Solution Documentation.

You are using Technical Bills of Material (TBOMs) and Business Process Change Analyzer to check the effects of changes on business processes. For more information, see Preparation: Creating Technical Bills of Material (TBOMs) and Business Process Change Analyzer.

Note Note

If you are not using Solution Documentation to document the business processes, you need to prepare the transactions or reports used in the system.

End of the note.
