Procedure documentationChecking Prerequisites for Semi-Dynamic TBOMs

To generate semi-dynamic TBOMS, ensure that data from the Usage and Procedure Logging (UPL) or the ABAP Call Monitor (SCMON) is generated in the system and can be retrieved. A self-check report checks, for example, the following prerequisites:

  • You have activated the UPL or SCMON in the target system in the SAP Solution Manager configuration, under Start of the navigation path Custom Code Management Next navigation step Configure Infrastructure Next navigation step Activate Extractors End of the navigation path. To get meaningful data, use a production system.

  • There are RFC connections between the systems involved.

  • BW extraction is set up between the target system and the SAP Solution Manager system.

  • SCMON is active.

  • The root flag has been set in the SAP Solution Manager configuration (transaction SOLMAN_SETUP) under Start of the navigation path Custom Code Management Next navigation step Housekeeping Settings End of the navigation path

  • You have scheduled the SCMON collection (job SM:SCMON_CONTROL) and the job SM:SCMON_UPLOAD_STATUS_HK in SOLMAN_SETUP, under Start of the navigation path Mandatory Configuration Next navigation step Basic Configuration Next navigation step Schedule Jobs End of the navigation path has been setup.
