Object documentationBusiness Requirement

A business requirement is a document in which the business manager or business process expert describes new functions and features that are to be implemented by the IT department.

The Requirements Management process is triggered when a business department (line of business) identifies the need for a new function or feature and creates a business requirement. The business requirement contains information about the function to be implemented, including any relevant attachments and links to supporting documents.

Once the business manager has approved the business requirement, an IT requirement is submitted to the IT department. The IT requirement is used to validate and commit the requirement from the perspective of the IT department. For more information, see IT Requirement.

Only when both the IT requirement and the business requirement have been committed can the change be carried out.

The business requirement consists of the header details, which are organized in individual groups, and additional assignment blocks. You can customize which assignment blocks are displayed according to your requirements.
