You can define your own tasks in addition to those tasks provided in the SAP standard task template. To build an organized task structure to meet your company’s organizational and IT-specific needs, you create task areas, which contain task groups, which contain individual tasks.
In the navigation area, choose the current system <SID>
<installation number>
.
On the Define User Task Area
tab, you create new task areas.
Enter a name for the area.
Save your entries.
On the Defining User Tasks Groups
tab, you create new task groups belonging to a task area.
Choose a task area.
Enter a name for the new task group.
In the Action Type
column, choose one of the following types:

Note
If you do not want to assign an action, such as a transaction or URL, to the task, you can use the action type Others
. In this case, the system does not generate an Execute
pushbutton in the header of the generated task.

On the Assigning User Task
tab, choose the user task group to which you want to assign tasks.
In the User Task
column, assign one or more tasks to this group.

On the URL Table
tab, you can define extended URLs.
By default, the definition of a URL is limited to a length of 120 characters. If you want to start a longer URL, you can define it by 4 parts each having 120 characters. In that case, you enter the URL name you defined on the URL Table
tab in the Defining
User Tasks Groups
tab.
Note
If you want to rename the Customer Task Area
entry in the navigation area, choose the Name Customer Area
tab.
In the navigation area, choose Customer Task Area
or the name you have defined.
Choose the relevant task area and then the task group.
On the Task List
tab, proceed as follows:
Change the task frequency, which has the standard value not active
.
Assign a role or responsible person to the task.
On the Company Specific Task Description
tab, enter a description of the user-specific task activity.
Save your entries.
