You use this function to display and change scheduled analyses, and create new ones. As the extractors do not supply results for complex reports, for example, for calculating the time-based data distribution, you have to schedule additional analyses for these cases. You need analyses for complex reports in the following areas:
You have the necessary authorization.
You have completed the Managed System Preparation
step in the Data Volume Management scenario of SAP Solution Manager Configuration for all systems you want to include in the analysis.
For more information, see SAP Solution Manager Configuration.
Depending on your authorization, different features are available.
You can create new analyses by choosing Create
and following the guided procedure.
Note
Only one user can create new analyses at any one time.
You can change and delete analyses in edit mode but you cannot completely change an analysis because of the complexity of the analysis definition. If the business reference of an analysis has changed, delete the analysis and create a new one for the current business context.
The table in the analysis overview shows various information about the currently scheduled analyses, including the analysis type. The following types of analysis are available:
Age of Record Determination
Calculations of the time distribution for the selected table
Saving Potential
Calculation of deletion and archiving potential
Simple Archiving Object
Calculate data from tables that were archived by only one archiving object
Complex Archiving Object
Calculation of data from tables that are archived by more than one archiving object
DVM KPI
Calculate the DVM KPI, which compares the relationship of the growth of sales data to the growth of the technical landscape
Business Object Footprint
Calculate the data for a business object, such as a company code, sales organization, and so on.
Template Selection
Calculate data for a previous selection of objects (object template, delivered by SAP or created by customer), such as all FI tables, all CO tables, only new GL tables, and so on. The analysis parameters must have been maintained for all selected tables.
When you select an analysis in the table, the Selected Analysis
screen area opens in which you can view more detailed information about the selected analysis. You can view the following information:
Analysis Log
Information about the phases and runtime of an analysis
Analysis Classification
Information about the configuration, variants, and field options
Analysis Documentation
