All software corrections must be tested and implemented within one maintenance cycle. At the end of the maintenance cycle, corrections are imported into the production system. Open changes, open transport requests, and transport requests that have not been imported to production systems are moved to the new maintenance cycle. The switch from an old maintenance cycle to a new one is safeguarded by the Deploy to Scope quality gate.
