The URL Framework provides an overview of URLs used in SAP Solution Manager. It provides an interface which allows you to integrate custom applications in SAP Solution Manager work centers. You can do the following:
Create a URL of the application
Integrate the application in one of the following SAP Solution Manager work centers:
Root Cause Analysis
SAP Solution Manager Administration
Technical Administration
Technical Monitoring
Edit existing URL
Rearrange existing applications in the work centers
You have developed an application which you want to make accessible. The application is installed on the SAP Solution Manager system or on a managed system.
You have started the SAP Solution Manager Administration
work center.
Create a URL of the application:
In the Content
view, choose the Root Cause Analysis
pushbutton.
Choose the URL Framework
tab page.
On the Applications
tab page, choose the Create
pushbutton.
A dialog box appears.
Enter data as required.
Select the application type and choose OK
.
Choose OK
.
A logical representation of the application is created.
In the Properties
screen area, under URL
, enter the following data:
In the URL Type
field, select the URL type and choose OK
.
In the URL Path
field, enter the absolute path to indicate where the application is installed on the server.
The absolute path contains the top directory, sub directories, and file name, for example, /sap/diagls_landscape_browser_app.
In the Cardinality
field, define whether the application is able to handle several objects or not.
To see the generated URL, if the application is installed on a managed system, you have to specify the system context. The context is provided by the work center framework when the URL Framework is started.
To specify a managed system, do the following:
Expand the Managed System Context
screen area.
Select the technical system or instance on which the application is installed.
To check the values of dynamic parameters, specify a managed system for dynamic parameters:
Expand the Dynamic Parameters Context
screen area.
Select the technical scenario, system, host or instance on which the application is installed.
Optional: You can create static and dynamic parameters, which are directly related to the Landscape API and which depend on the selected work center context.
Example
The application needs to have the extended system ID and the installation number of the selected technical system in the work center context. You create the dynamic values T_SYSTEM_LONG_SID
and T_SYSTEM_INSTALL_NUMBER
. At runtime
these values are interpreted by the Landscape API, to provide the right value.
Choose the Parameters
link.
Choose Add
.
Enter the name of the parameter.
In the Parameter Details
field, enter a static value or select a dynamic value.
Save your entries.
In the Link
field, a link is automatically generated and can be tested..
Create a new view to integrate the application in a SAP Solution Manager work center:
Choose the Groups
tab page.
In the Groups
hierarchy, select the view and group into which the application is to be integrated.
Note
Under a View, only the application type Web Dynpro embedded (WD_EMB) is allowed. Under a POWL or Group both application types are allowed.
Select the Applications
node.
In the context menu, select Add Application
.
A dialog box appears.
Select the application.
Choose OK
.
