Procedure documentationCreating a New Project

Prerequisites

You have done the following:

  • Created a project management project in PPM

  • Created an engagement cycle in the SAP Engagement and Service Delivery work center

Procedure

To create a new project, proceed as follows:

  1. Enter the project ID of your new project and a project title.

    If you want to create a project based on an existing project, select an existing project from the drop down list and enter a new project title.

  2. Select the engagement cycle that you want to add to the project and a corresponding PM project number and name. You can also add a case number to the engagement cycle to transfer the quality gates in the related project management project from the SAP Solution Manager system to enable SAP to track your project.

    Note Note

    You can add multiple engagement cycles to one SAP Solution Manager project.

  3. Save your entries.

Result

A new project is created in the list of available projects. You can edit this information later in the Project Deliverables view.
