Use

You create templates in the Test Workbench to structure the following document types uniformly, system-wide, for your tests:

·        Test case descriptions for manual test cases

·        Notes

·        Messages

Edit templates for test case descriptions and notes

The system uses the following templates:

·        Test case descriptions: General text TEMPLATE_CATE.

·        Notes: General text ZTEMPLATE_NOTE_YT

Modify these texts:

...

       1.      Call the transaction Documentation (SE61).

       2.      Choose a language.

       3.      Choose the document class General Text.

       4.      Proceed as follows:

¡        For notes:

                                                  i.       Enter the document name ZTEMPLATE_NOTE_YT.

                                                ii.       Choose Create.

¡        For test case descriptions:

...

                                                  i.       Enter the document name TEMPLATE_CATE.

                                                ii.       Choose Change.

                                               iii.       To modify this text, enter the required data in the following dialog box, and confirm your entries.

       5.      Edit the text in the SAPscript editor.

Note

Use of variables:

·         To insert text variables for the headers ( standard symbols), choose Insert Symbol Standard Symbols. The variables are shown as &<symbol>& in the text, e.g. &DESCRIPTION& for the description.

·         You can create or change standard symbols in the transaction SAPscript Settings (SE75). Specify the symbol value for each language used in your system.

       6.      Save your changes.

Edit message templates

You create new message templates or assign existing templates, in the transaction Central Test Workbench Settings (STWB_SET).
