Procedure

  1. To analyze the problem related to availability or self-test, click the Navigate to Component Monitor traffic light.

    You go to the Component Monitor.

  2. In the Component Overview screen area, select the component in error status.

  3. To confirm the status of the component, do one of the following:

    • If the availability is in error status, choose Start of the navigation path Manage Next navigation step Trigger Ping End of the navigation path.

    • If the self-test is in error status, choose Start of the navigation path Manage Next navigation step Trigger Self-Test End of the navigation path.

    The status is displayed on the Manage Result tab page.

  4. On the Self-Test Result tab page, click the description of the self-test in error status (red traffic light).

    The root cause of the problem is described, with error status.

  5. Perform one of the following:

    Purpose

    Task

    If the status did not change and you want to analyze the problem

    Choose Start of the navigation path Navigate To Next navigation step <local monitor> End of the navigation path.

    If you want to request support

    Create an incident message.

    If you want to notify the status of component to a user

    Send a notification.

    If you want to save the monitored data locally for further analysis

    Choose Start of the navigation path Export Next navigation step Export to Microsoft Excel End of the navigation path.
