You require a fully implemented SAP NetWeaver Development Infrastructure (NWDI or DI) for the scenario variant Application Development with Web Dynpro. This is a prerequisite for the usage type DI. The NWDI supports lifecycle management with the following components:
● Design Time Repository (DTR)
● Component Build Service (CBS)
● Change Management Service (CMS)
The following figure illustrates the development landscape:
...
1. You have installed and configured SAP Web AS Java. For more information, see the SAP Web AS Java installation guide.
2. You have installed the usage type DI.
After the NWDI installation, run the post installation template in the Configuration Wizard.
The template performs the following steps:
● Create initial users and authorizations
● Activate CBS
● Create a CMS domain
● Create a product and a software component
● Create a track
If you want to configure or change this setting, proceed as described for the DI usage type in Solution Manager:
...
1. In the Solution Manager system create a project using transaction SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN.
2. Create a project structure in which relevant business scenarios, business processes and process steps are organized in a hierarchical structure based on Business Process Repository in the transaction SOLAR01.
3. In the transaction SOLAR02 choose Solutions/Application → Basic Configuration → Configuration Structures → SAP NetWeaver 7.0 → Usage Type DI.
