Procedure documentation Save Test Plan from Hierarchy List  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You save protected test plans to document their status at a specified time. You use such protected test plans for your internal quality assurance, or for audits.

Note

You cannot use the following functions from the hierarchy list. To use these functions, create a test report:

·         Put Knowledge Warehouse notes in the test report, e.g. MS Word or MS Excel notes.

·         Create a test report for a test package

Prerequisites

You have created a test plan. You have analyzed the test plan status. You are in the test plan status analysis display.

Procedure

...

       1.      Choose the Hierarchy List pushbutton.

The system displays the test plan and its results in a hierarchical list.

       2.      Choose Settings Additional Information, to display additional information such as test case descriptions, status change history, or problem messages, in the hierarchy list. Specify whether the results are to be displayed in absolute or percentage terms. The system uses your display variant as the default setting for your user.

All information which you display in the hierarchy list is put in the test plan which is saved later. You should display all test plan information.

Note

If the test case description has been changed since the test case status was set, the system shows this in the hierarchy list.

       3.      To save the test plan locally on your hard disk or a server, choose List Save Local File...

       4.      Choose List Send to Mail Recipient or Folder to send the test plan to another user, or save it in the Business Workplace of your system.

Result

You have saved the test plan with its current status and the selected settings, in the system or as a local file.

If you have sent the test plan, you or the mail recipient can now display the test plan, with the transaction Business Workplace (SO01).

Note

Whether users can display or delete the test plan with the transaction SO01, depends on the access authorization of the folder. You should create a General Folder for the test plans. Further information about SAP Office and folder authorization is in the SAP Library under:
