You generate a test report to document the status of the test plans or test packages at a specified time. For example, the test coordinator can generate a test report for a test plan, at the beginning and end of a test phase, to document the test progress.
If you den protect the test plan against changes, you can use the test report for your internal quality assurance, or for audits.
You have created a test plan.
You can put the following data in a test report:
· Test plan attributes
· Information about the systems used
· Test package overview
· Test package assignments to testers
· Test plan structure
· Test cases with test case key and test case description
· Test case status with status change history
· Messages
· Notes
You can do the following with the test report:
· Save locally
· Print with your text processing program
These functions are available with the Save test plan from hierarchy list function. In a test report you can also:
· Put Knowledge Warehouse notes in the test report, e.g. MS Word or MS Excel notes.
· Create a test report for a test package
To call the test report:
· For test plans: Select a test plan in the test plan management initial screen, and choose Goto → Test Report.
· For test packages: Select a test plan in the test plan management initial screen, and choose Test Packages → Goto → Test Report.
