You can configure the scope of the alert reaction of your MAI BAdI implementation as follows:
Global: An MAI BAdI implementation is called each time an alert is generated in SAP Solution Manager.
Via templates: An MAI BAdI implementation is called each time an alert concerning a certain class of managed objects is generated in SAP Solution Manager (alerts concerning ABAP systems, for example).
Alert-specific: An MAI BAdI implementation is called if a certain alert or alert of a certain type is generated in SAP Solution Manager.
You have created an MAI BAdI implementation.
In the SAP Solution Manager Configuration work center, choose Technical Monitoring
.
In the Configure Infrastructure
step, choose the Default Setting
sub-step.
Choose the Third-Party Components
tab page.
In the Third-Party Components
field, select Active
.
Choose Add
.
The existing MAI BAdI implementations are displayed.
Select your MAI BAdI implementation and confirm.
In the Scope Filter
column, select All Alerts
.
Save your entries.
Optional: To create a template or enable the third-party component at alert level, go to the Template Maintenance
step and follow the instructions.
Go to the Define Scope
step.
Select the managed object to be configured.
In the Setup Monitoring
step, the managed object you selected, is displayed.
If you have created a template, to assign the template to the managed object, follow the instructions in the Setup Monitoring
step.
