Use

Translator profiles are groups of individual authorizations that determine which activities can be performed by translators and coordinators in the translation system, and which cannot. For example, you can create a profile that enables translators to change all proposals in the proposal pool, and another profile that enables coordinators to assign collections.

The individual authorizations that are available are determined by the roles assigned to the end users in the translation system. The system administrator assigns roles to end users using transaction SU01. The translator profiles in transaction LXE_MASTER enable you to fine-tune the authorizations.

There are various values for each authorization that determine the authorization’s exact meaning.

Features

The system includes the following standard translator profiles:

TG New Translator

The same as External Coordinator I, except that he/she can also assign all collections to translators into his/her target language that are relevant for translation into the target language. He/she can create translators for his/her target language, and assign translator profiles. He/she can view the statistics of other target languages. He/she can call up worklists for collections that are not assigned to him/her. He/she can call up objects in a worklist that are already reserved in another translator’s worklist.
