Translator profiles are groups of individual authorizations that determine which activities can be performed by translators and coordinators in the translation system, and which cannot. For example, you can create a profile that enables translators to change all proposals in the proposal pool, and another profile that enables coordinators to assign collections.
The individual authorizations that are available are determined by the roles assigned to the end users in the translation system. The system administrator assigns roles to end users using transaction SU01. The translator profiles in transaction LXE_MASTER enable you to fine-tune the authorizations.
There are various values for each authorization that determine the authorization’s exact meaning.
The system includes the following standard translator profiles:
Translator Profile |

AA Standard User |
Translator without proposal pool authorization |
TG New Translator |
Inexperienced translator with very few rights in the proposal pool. He/she can only set quality status B for proposals, and cannot distribute quality status X. |
TM External Translator |
Standard translator with standard rights in the proposal pool. He/she cannot assign quality status A to proposals, and cannot distribute quality status X. |
TN Inhouse Translator |
Standard translator with standard rights in the proposal pool. He/she cannot assign quality status A to proposals, and cannot distribute quality status X. |

He/she can view, and update, the statistics of other translators. Using transaction TPMO, he/she can view the performance data of translators assigned to his/her translator group. |
VJ External Coordinator II |
The same as External Coordinator I, except that he/she can also assign collections to translators in his/her translator group, providing that the collections have been assigned to his/her own user. |
VK Inhouse Coordinator |
The same as External Coordinator I, except that he/she can also assign all collections to translators into his/her target language that are relevant for translation into the target language. He/she can create translators for his/her target language, and assign translator profiles. He/she can view the statistics of other target languages. He/she can call up worklists for collections that are not assigned to him/her. He/she can call up objects in a worklist that are already reserved in another translator’s worklist. |
