Procedure documentationDisplaying Third Party Test Tool Logs

Log files generated by third party test tools are stored in the SAP Knowledge Warehouse. The Test Automation Framework allows you to access directly not only eCATT log files but also third party test log files.

A third party test tool log can also be displayed in the eCATT format. In this case a condensed version is displayed, in which only the most important data is comprised.

Prerequisites

  • A third party test tool is installed on the SAP systems under test (SUT) and is registered to SAP Solution Manager.

  • You have created and executed a test configuration with a third party test tool. For more information, see Creating Automated Test Cases.

Procedure

  1. In the Damaged Test Case Worklist, select the support message and choose Repair.

You go to the Repair Test Case Work Item screen.

  2. On the General Data tab page, in the Environment area, choose the project ID or solution ID, respectively.

You go to the Change Configuration screen.

  3. On the Test Cases tab page, select the respective test case.

  4. Display the log file:

    • To display a log file in eCATT log format, choose Start of the navigation path Log Next navigation step Test Configuration Log End of the navigation path.

    • To display the log file of the third party test tool in the original format of the third party test tool log, choose Start of the navigation path Log Next navigation step Test Tool Log End of the navigation path.

      Note Note

If the log file cannot be displayed in the original format of the third party test tool log, it is displayed in the eCATT format.

      End of the note.
