Procedure documentationDocumenting SAP BW Process Chains (BW-SCH)

 

You can pull BW process chain scheduling information and the process list from a managed system in order to document it in job documentation. You can manually edit the scheduling information here, but you cannot change the scheduling in the managed system.

Prerequisites

  • You are authorized to run Job Scheduling Management and to call the BW-SCH interface.

  • You have created job documentation and assigned it to a system. For more information, see Systems Tab Page.

  • You have selected the BW Process Chain scheduler (BW-SCH) interface in the job documentation. For more information, see General Tab Page.

  • You have set up a trusted RFC connection between SAP Solution Manager and the target system.

Procedure

  1. Open the job documentation and go to the Systems tab.

  2. Select a system, and then choose Scheduling.

    The scheduling application window appears.

  3. Switch to edit mode.

  4. Use the value help to select the chain ID, and press Enter.

    The fields are populated with data from the managed system.

  5. If desired, you can edit the start method and time. Note that this will NOT affect scheduling in the managed system. Your entries are for documentation purposes only.

  6. Save your entries.
