This query is used in interactive reporting in the Technical Monitoring work center. The report shows the load of the system threads and application threads. System threads are SAP Java Engine processes that perform operations of the engine itself, whereas application code is performed in application threads. Both threads have profile parameters that specify the maximum number of processes that the system provides in the respective thread pool. The load displayed is the percentage of the maximal possible number of threads which are active.
