Configuring Mobile Component Downloads  

Use

You must configure the settings you want to be used on the mobile device when downloading mobile components.  The settings are not made for each component on an individual basis but apply to all mobile component downloads.

The settings are entered as fixed values when a mobile component is deployed. If you want to change these settings at a later date or time, you must remove the existing mobile components and redeploy them once you have changed the settings.

 

Procedure

       1.      Start the Visual Administrator and log on to the J2EE system.

       2.      Choose the server you want on the Cluster tab page and then Service   →  Configuration Adapter.

On the right side of the screen the system displays the node Mobile with the assigned MobilecontainerConfiguration property sheet.

You can configure the settings in the following ways:

Configuration Parameters

Parameter	Description	Possible Values
USING_HTTPS	Define whether HTTPS is used as the protocol when downloading.	X – Use HTTPS (Empty) – Use HTTP
DOMAIN_SUFFIX	Domain suffix preceded by a period (“.”) at the start that is added to the name of the host. For example, .emea.ides.com.	.<Subdomain>.<Domain>.<Top-level domain> (Empty) – No suffix is used.
USING_IP	IP address that is used instead of the host name (optional)	<IP address> (Empty) – Host name is used

       3.      Save your entries.
