Connect / System Information 

Use

With this function, which is a toggle function, you can connect to a system, display system information, and disconnect from a system.

Features

While working in BEx Analyzer, you don’t always need to be connected to a system. You can open a workbook that has been saved locally, for example, and later connect to a system. You do need to be connected to a system, though, to work in design mode and to navigate in analysis mode.

If you are temporarily disconnected from a system, you can use this function to reconnect. If you are already connected, you can display information about the system with this function. You can also use this function if you wish to disconnect and then reconnect to a different system.

Activities

·        To connect to a system, choose Connect from the analysis toolbar, or BEx Analyzer  →  Connect from the menu.

·        If you are already connected and wish to view system information, which also allows you to disconnect from a system, choose System Information from the analysis toolbar, or BEx Analyzer  →  System Information from the menu. The System Information dialog box appears.

·        To disconnect from a system, choose Disconnect from the System Information dialog box.
