This attribute is used in Job and Process Monitoring in SAP Solution Manager. This application monitors all the business-critical background jobs, such as ABAP jobs and BW process chains, centrally. One or more jobs, which, for example, satisfy a specified naming convention, are the monitored objects.

The attribute contains the type of the monitored object, for example ABAP Job or BW Process Chain.
