Procedure documentationSelect Business Function/Business Function Set from the Input Help

You want to find business functions or a business function set using the input help so you can add them to the overall scope.

Due to their assignment, there are dependencies between business functions and business function sets. If you select a business function or a business function set, you automatically restrict your possible selections to ensure that the final overall scope is consistent.

Example Example

For example, by selecting a business function from an industry-specific business function set, you specify the business function set for the managed system of the logical component. You cannot add another business function set.

End of the example.

Previously assigned business functions or business function sets are highlighted in the search results. You can save the results of your search, locally.

The following tabs are shown, depending on your entries and settings:

  • System <SID>

This tab is available for business functions or business function sets when the following conditions are fulfilled:

    • You have assigned systems to the logical components, in the Project Administration, in the System Landscape tab.

    • There are RFC connections to the managed systems, and the Switch Framework data is available.

  • Business Function Repository

    This tab is always available.

  • Project/Solution

This tab is only available for business functions on the Business Functions Scope screen.
