In the monitoring and alerting infrastructure, the context specifies the managed object in which an alert occurs, for example. A managed object is an entity in your system or business process landscape, such as a technical system, a host, or a technical scenario (for a list of types of managed objects, see Navigation in the Directory Browser).
In some cases, the name of a managed object can be too long for a single characteristic, meaning that the name is split into the following two characteristics:
