Converting Archives for a Mobile Component 

Use

You can only deploy archives on the server that have either an SDA or SCA format. You can use the archive converter to change the format of archives that do not already have the correct SDA format.

Prerequisites

You have started the Mobile Administrator.

Procedure

...

       1.      Switch to the Archive Converter function.

       2.      Enter the required information. The system displays this information after you have deployed the archive on the server in the Mobile Components function.

The name of the mobile components can only contain the following characters: a-z, A-Z, 0-9, _. The version description can also include a period (.).

Do not use the same names for mobile components and device configurations.

       3.      Upload the archive for the mobile component.

       4.      Generate the SDA archive.

Procedure

You can now deploy the components on the server (see Deploying Mobile Components on the Server).
