Procedure documentation Creating a Translator Profile  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

You must assign a profile to every translator and coordinator created in the system. Each user can have just one profile per target language. For more information, see Maintaining Translators.

You cannot create translators until translator profiles have been defined in the system. Each profile can include one or more authorizations.

You can create your own translator profiles or upload the SAP standard profiles into your system.

Procedure

Import standard profiles

...

       1.      Call transaction LXE_MASTER.

       2.      Choose Environment Profiles Activate Sample Profiles.

The system created various translator profiles.

       3.      To display the authorizations included in a profile, choose Profiles on the Translators tab page.

The system displays an overview of all profiles with the authorizations they contain.

Create your own profiles

...

       1.      Call transaction LXE_MASTER.

       2.      On the Translators tab page, choose Profiles.

The Translator Profile dialog box appears. In contains a list of all profiles that have already been defined in the system.

       3.      Choose Create New Profile.

This takes you to the Profiles dialog box. It contains a list of all authorization objects that are available in the system for the translation environment.

       4.      In the Profile field, enter a two-character ID and a description of your profile.

       5.      Specify values for the authorization objects you require for the new profile. If you do not specify a value for an authorization object, the profile does not grant any of the permissions controlled by this authorization object.

       6.      Save.

Result

The translator profiles that you defined or imported are now available in the system. You can now create translators. For more information, see Maintaining Translators.
