 Editing Cross-Scenario Configuration

Usage

In the cross-scenario configuration, you make the basic settings for a solution which are not process-specific, before you implement scenarios for this solution.

Perform the cross-scenario configuration in the business process structure, under Configuration in the Configuration transaction (SOLAR02). Then perform the scenario and process-specific configuration under Business Scenarios in the business process structure.

Functional Scope

  • Select existing configuration structures from the Business Process Repository (repository of the scenarios and business processes delivered by SAP)

  • Creating a configuration structure

  • Change configuration elements

  • Assignment of objects, for example IMG objects and documents, to the configuration elements

  • Perform cross-scenario configuration for your solutions

  • Print the configuration structures, including assigned documents, as a configuration guideline

Activities

  1. Call the transaction Configuration (SOLAR02), and go to your project.

  2. Select the node Configuration in the business process structure.

  3. Choose Change Configuration Structure in the Structure tab.

  4. Create the configuration structure:

    • To copy an existing configuration structure from the Business Process Repository, choose configuration elements from the value helfp for the Configuration Element column.

      • You can filter the configuration structures in the configuration structure selection value help, in the branches selected under Start of the navigation path Project Administration Next navigation step Scope Next navigation step Branch Selection End of the navigation path.

      • You can filter the configuration structures by the scenarios selected in the Business Blueprint, under Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Recalculate Scope End of the navigation path

    • To create a customer configuration structur, enter a name for the configuration element, in the Configuration Element column. Configuration structures can have any number of levels.

  5. Assign logical components to the configuration structures, in the following dialog box.

  6. You can change the configuration structures and elements.

  7. Go back.

  8. Assign objects, e.g. IMG objects, to the configuration structures.

  9. To lock the configuration elements for dependent implementation projects, against changes, in a template project, assign values for the global attribute, to the configuration elements, in the Structure tab.

  10. You can create a configuration guideline document based on the configuration structure, under Start of the navigation path Configuration Next navigation step Config. Guideline End of the navigation path.

  11. Perform the cross-scenario configuration.
