Modifying Queries
After you have created a query, you may modify it using the BI Integration Wizard, or you may edit the query statement directly by using the MDX Editor (OLAP queries) or SQL Editor (relational queries).
Caution
MDX and SQL Editor functionality is disabled by default. For more information, see Security Risks with the SQL Editor and MDX Editor in the SAP NetWeaver Visual Composer Security Guide.
As outlined in Use the BI Integration Wizard.
To modify a query using the BI Integration Wizard:
In the workspace, select the data service icon.
Select .
Alternately, from the context menu, select Configure Query.
The BI Integration Wizard is displayed on the Select a Query Template screen. You may change any aspect of your query except for the data service, cubes, or tables associated with your query.
To modify aquery using the MDX or SQL Editor:
In the workspace, select the data service icon.
Select (OLAP queries) or (relational queries).
Alternately, from the context menu, select MDX Editor or SQL Editor.
The MDX or SQL Editor appears with your currently configured statement active.
Note
If you select a relational data service and you evoke the MDX Editor, the editor disregards your selection and assumes that you want to create a new OLAP query. Similarly, if you select an OLAP data service and you evoke the SQL Editor, the editor disregards your selection and assumes that you want to create a new relational query.
