For each page/iView in the Portal Catalog, you can set the following properties, which determine whether the data collection service collects information for that object:

  • Monitor Hits: If set to true, data is collected about the number of people who viewed this page/iView.

    The default is true, except for the following navigation iViews in the Classic Framework Page (listed by object ID):

    • com.sap.portal.masthead

    • com.sap.portal.toolAreaiView

    • com.sap.portal.topLevelNavigationiView

    • com.sap.portal.pageToolbar

    • com.sap.portal.innerpage

    • com.sap.portal.messageArea

    • com.sap.portal.pageTimeout

    • com.sap.portal.detailedNavigationTree

    • com.sap.portal.dynamicNavigationArea

    • com.sap.portal.targetsiView

    • com.sap.portal.targetsiView_

    • com.sap.portal.contentarea

  • Monitor Users (pages only): If set to true, data about the users who visited this page is collected.

    The default is false.

Procedure

  1. Open the Property Editor for the page/iView whose properties you want to set.

  2. Set the Monitor Hits(pages/iViews) and Monitor Users(pages) properties.
