Use

The Import Monitor shows you the status of imports into one or more systems in the domain. The transport control program tp stores status information in the database before and after each import step. This status information is read and displayed by the Import Monitor.

Each system shown is split into Scheduling and Execution of the imports.

The Scheduling section shows you the following information:

  • Date and time of the scheduling in the Job Monitor
  • Name of the project or request
  • Name and number of the TMS job in the Job Monitor
  • Name of the user who scheduled the import
  • Target client for client-specific imports
  • Job period for regular transports

The Execution section shows you the following information:

  • Date, time, and status of the import
  • Last activity of the transport control program tp
  • Target client for client-specific imports
  • Maximum return code of the import
  • Message with which the transport control program tp completed the import

    Note

Only those systems are updated that you have expanded in the display. This improves performance.

You can use the context menu to delete individual entries, display import details and their transport steps, and go to the import history.

Result

If the time stamp of the last change has not changed, but the status indicates that tp is still running, there can be several reasons for this:

  • tp is processing a request with a large data volume
  • An error has occurred. In this case, you can find further information in tp system log.
  • tp was terminated with operating system tools. Therefore check if the tp process with the process ID displayed is still running.
Note

The Import Monitor displays all tp processes that terminated or have not yet been completed.
