Procedure documentation Creating RFC Destinations on the J2EE  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You create remote function call (RFC) destinations on the J2EE engine so that SAP BW can make functional calls on remote systems. You will need to create an RFC destination on the J2EE side that is configured to a gateway system.

Subsequently, you will create an RFC destination on the SAP BW side that is configured to the same gateway system. The gateway system will map J2EE RFC destination to BW RFC destination using the program ID parameter, which is used in each RFC destination.

Procedure

       1.      Launch the J2EE Visual Administrator Tool and go to Service JCo RFC Provider.

       2.      On the Bundles tab page, define missing parameters and choose Set.

Note

Verify that the Unicode checkbox has been enabled.

       3.      In Available RFC Destinations, choose Start and check the following fields in RFC destination:

Program ID – Will be used for gateway mapping

     Gateway host

     Gateway service
