Configuring the CAF Collaboration Room 

Use

You can use the CAF collaboration room to communicate and collaborate with team members and other individuals to access and share data in virtual rooms.

Prerequisite

You have logged on to the KM with http://<host>:<port>/irj. Remember to replace <host> and <port> with the machine name of the portal you are using.

Procedure

Configuring the KM Collaboration Service

       1.      Go to System Administration → System Configuration → Service Configuration → Applications → com.sap~caf~km~.ep.kmcollaborationsvc → Services.

       2.      With the secondary mouse button, select KMCollaborationSvc and choose Configure.

       3.      Confirm the values of the following properties:

Property	Value
CategoryName	default_category
NotificationOn	true
SystemAlias	Default_System_Alias
TemplateName	SAP_Standard_Template

Configuring Room Categories

 

       1.      Go to System Administration → System Configuration → Service Configuration → Knowledge Management → Collaboration → Room Categories.

       2.      Verify that the default category exists, if not, create a new default category with the following parameters:

category_name	default_category

Configuring Room Templates

 

       1.      Go to Content Administration → Collaboration Content → Room Template Administration.

       2.      Verify that the SAP_Standard_Template exists in the list of available templates, if not create a new template with the following parameters:

Property	Value
Name	SAP_Standard_Template
Description	This role is required for the CAF collaboration service.
Room Type	Restriction
Workset	SAP_Team_Room

       3.      Choose Next.

       4.      Add the member MemberAdmin and assign it the following page roles:

com.sap.netweaver.coll.RoomTaks		x
com.sap.netweaver.coll.TeamMembers		x

com.sap.netweaver.coll.AdminMembersAndRoomRelations_2	x		x

       5.      Leave the default settings for all remaining steps and save the new template.

Configuring Room Search Properties

 

       1.      Go to System Administration → System Configuration → Knowledge Management → Collaboration → Room Search Properties.

       2.      If you are not going to use the TREX search function or you have not installed and configured the TREX search engine, then edit roomsearch and disable the indicator for Use TRex.

Configuring the CAF Repository Manager

 

       1.      Go to System Administration → System Configuration → Knowledge Management → Content Management → Repository Managers → CAF Repository.

       2.      Verify that a discussion service is available in the list.

Configuring KM Permissions

 

       1.      Go to System Administration → Permissions → Portal Permissions → Security Zones → sap.com → NetWeaver.KMC → low_safety → com.sap.km.cm → components.

       2.      With the secondary mouse button, select uidiscussion and choose Open Permissions.

       3.      Verify that the group Everyone has been added to the list of Assigned Permissions.
