Adjusting the URL Generator Service 

Use

You may need to adjust the URL Generator Service so that whenever a URL is needed to access a resource, for example, the document icons displayed with the documents in a folder, or a document link in a notification sent to a user, the URL is correctly executed.

Procedure

       1.      Log on to the KM with http://<host>:<port>/irj.

Remember to replace <host> and <port> with the machine name of the portal you are using.

       2.      Go to System Administration → System Configuration → Knowledge Management → Content Management → (Mode → Advanced →)  Global Services → URL Generator Service.

       3.      Check the value of Host and if necessary, modify it to reflect the host and port name of the machine you are using.

You should use real values for the host and port definition; preferably, a fully qualified host name (for example, http://epgsd003.grodno.novimo.com:5000).
