Storage Monitoring
This function enables you to monitor a mobile device’s storage media and storage capacity. The current storage status is sent to the server when the mobile device synchronizes. If the status is critical, it is displayed in the Computing Center Management System (CCMS).
You have configured the CCMS (see Configuration of the Computing Center Management System).
The following are recorded and transferred to the server:
● System data memory
● Installed memory cards
● Memory status for every memory card
You can configure the settings in the following ways:
Parameters for STORAGE
Parameters |
Description |
Possible Values |
AGENT_MODE |
Activate or deactivate monitoring |
ON, OFF |
AGENT_HISTORY |
Activate or deactivate log function for storage capacity |
TRUE, FALSE |
AGENT_HISTORY_INTERVAL |
Define intervals for logging (in minutes) |
<Minutes> |
AGENT_REPORT_ON_FIRST_CYCLE Or AGENT_REPORT_ON_SECOND_CYCLE |
Define synchronization cycle for sending data if the device is used by multiple users. Set at least one of the parameters. |
TRUE, FALSE |
AGENT_TRIGGER_ON_SYNC_COUNT Or |
Define the number of synchronization cycles run before data is sent to server |
Any integer O – Never 1 – With every synchronization 2 – With every second synchronization |
AGENT_TRIGGER_ON_SYNC_INTERVAL and AGENT_TRIGGER_ON_SYNC_INTERVALTYPE |
Determine the intervals (type and interval) with which the data is sent to server |
Interval type: M – Minutes H – Hours D – Days Interval: Any integer O – Never 1 – In intervals of one minute, one hour, one day. |
TRIGGER_ON_LOW_MEMORY |
Determine whether the memory status is transferred if it has a low memory value |
TRUE, FALSE |
MEMORY_ALERT_YELLOW |
Determine the threshold value for generating a warning (absolute value in kilobytes) |
<Value in kilobytes> |
MEMORY_CRITICAL |
Determine the threshold value for a critical memory status (absolute value in kilobytes). This value must be less than the value for the MEMORY_ALERT_YELLOW warning. |
<Value in kilobytes> |
You define the values for the parameters in a parameter set (see Defining the Parameter Sets). Use the STORAGE type to monitor the memory status.
