Procedure documentation Creating a Transport Package  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

       1.      Open the Package Export Editor (see Package Export Editor and Package Import Editor).

       2.      Place the cursor on a folder in the Portal Catalog and with the secondary mouse key choose New Transport Package.

       3.      In step 1, "General Properties,“ enter the following:

¡        Transport package name (required)

¡        Transport package ID (required)

¡        Transport package ID prefix (optional)

¡        Master language (required)

¡        Description (optional).

       4.      Choose Next to view the Summary page where you can check the entries you made.

       5.      Choose Finish.to generate the package.

Three radio button options appear.

     Open the object for editing (default)

     Restart the wizard to create a new object

     Close the wizard.

To begin editing the package immediately (i.e. adding content, editing properties), leave the default option and choose OK.

       6.      Choose Finish and the wizard generates the new object and stores it in the relevant folder in the Portal Catalog.

The transport package is immediately available for editing, if you selected that option in step 4.

In the Portal Content Studio you see the following:

¡        Export Editor with the empty content object list (Static Package Content)

¡        Property Editor containing the properties of the package (including general information and export setting properties). You can check and, if necessary, change some of the property values.

Changing property values activates the Save button. To keep changes, choose Save.
