Planning Profile
You define planning profiles to set up a user-specific selection of planning objects. A personalized view of planning objects is particularly useful
· if you are working in large planning environments but not all of the planning objects are relevant for you
· if you want to group all planning objects by task-related factors because you, for example, only carry out administrative tasks without actually performing planning yourself.

When you use planning profiles to make administrative tasks easier, make sure that you only include those planning objects in a profile that are useful for all possible employees in the same way and without modification.
It would be meaningful, for example, to include a planning level in a profile with the corresponding functions that contain a selection for a certain planning task.
If you want to include planning packages in the profile that contain a selection for a particular employee, you have to maintain numerous individual profiles.
Instead, SAP recommends that you combine using planning profiles with the option of using variables to define worklists.
You reach planning profile maintenance from the planning workbench by clicking on Planning Profile or via Goto → Planning Profile.
You can create multiple planning profiles. For each planning profile you determine which objects are to be visible in the planning environment once the profile is set. You can separate subordinate objects, or parts of these, from the existing planning objects and have these appear in the planning profile.

You can, for example, include a specific parameter group in the planning profile from a planning level for which you have defined many planning functions. When the profile is set, only this parameter group is proposed. All other functions and parameter groups are hidden.
You can select and activate one of the available planning profiles. In this way you assign the selected profile to your user account. This profile remains in effect until you either set a different profile or display all the planning objects that are available in the system in the planning environment. You do this by choosing Edit → General overview.
You can assign a planning profile not only to yourself, but also to other users. To do this, you first select the desired profile and then choose Profile → Assign to Other Users. A dialog box appears with a list of all users who have access authorization for the system. Here you can choose those users to whom you want to assign the profile.

Saving the last work status for the user
Independently of whether you use planning profiles or not, as a user you can set whether the status of the planning objects as it is when you exit the planning session, should be reproduced when the planning session is started again. You do this with Utilities → Settings. When you save the Last Work Status setting the system expands the tree structure of the planning objects up to and including the last edited objects and reproduces the last display of the detail information in the work area.
